Well, lemme see... we had a great 4th of July weekend. On Saturday we hit some Garage Sales. We found an estate sale that had some old piano reels. The seller made us a great deal, so we purchased all (about 60 reels). We are excited to get to play them on my Mother's old player piano. We also picked up a big box of assorted candles to use to make new candles.. Sunday we slept in and just got ready for the 4th. Jerry and I played all day in our kiddie pool. Listed to CD's, laid in the sun, drank beer and smirnoff ice (yes, very white trash, but very fun). Then later that day we had a BBQ then Jerry, Erik, Karissa and I had fun setting off a whole bunch of fireworks. I took some pictures (see the gallery). That is about all for now...

This weekend was a really good weekend. Jerry's parents came down from Cowiche to help us with the other property. We found another room, an attic in the red house. There were a bunch of old fruit jars and some records. There was also a bat that gave Jerry some trouble.
We were able to empty out that attic, the pump house, and the old garage. Cindy and Jerry were such a big help, we could have never gotten that much done without them. We threw all the stuff we want to keep in the main house, as well as packing up about 15 boxes that we took to storage.
Jerry's dad (Jerry) was able to get a lot of the lawn mowed, and even got the old weed wacker running. There are some new pics in the gallery. I marked some of the trees that we don't want to lose for the demo crew.
Karissa and Erik also came out to help on Sunday.
On Saturday night we played Snorta and Zilch. Cindy, Jerry and I drank Oatmeal Cookies. I laughed so hard at one point, I nearly peed myself. It has been a really great weekend!

Jerry and I went out to the other property again today. We discovered that the garage had another room, we should have known already due to the way the building was formed, but we hadn't put much thought to it. Jerry had to use his machete to find the door, and once found he kicked the door in. There are new pics to show the discoveries inside.

Time for antoher quick update. On April 24th, Jerry proposed to me. We had been talking about the idea for awhile, but I had no idea it was going to be that night. For the story, go to Jerry's Blog. It was quite a surprise and made me very happy. He had gotten Karissa's blessing which made it extra special for me.
We have been busy empting the other houses. For those of you who don't know, when my Mother passed away, I inherited 2.3 acres by Battle Ground Lake, WA. There are 3 very old buildings, probably from the 1940's, and a main house from the 1970's. All buildings had many many years of my Mothers, Grandmothers, and Grandfathers collections in them. We have the 'red' house empty, but in the process found two holes under the house. One is very large, the other is about 8x4x4... very interesting.
We have begun the process of ordering the blueprints for the house that we are going to build, and have gotten the soil perked for the septic tank.
I have also started selling my Grandmothers glass collection on EBAY. I has been fun and a lot of work at the same time. If you want to see what I have listed, by user id is neerol_1.
I have also added a bunch of pictures to the gallery, so go check that out as well. I guess that is it for now.

As you can see it has been quite awhile since I have updated this blog. Mostly because I have been very busy lately. So, here is an update in a nutshell. Jerry and I dressed up together for Halloween. Me as a Sorcerous, and he as my Evil Minion. We went to work dressed up which was a lot of fun. But, we only got a couple of Trick Or Treaters. Thanksgiving Jerry and I went to Cowiche to visit his family. Karissa stayed with her boyfriend Eric and his family. I missed her a lot, but I knew we were going to be able to spend Christmas together. Thanksgiving dinner was great, as always. Cindy and Jerry are some of the nicest, if not THE nicest people I have ever met. We came back via White Pass and hit some snow, but I did OK. Christmas we threw the whole family into the XT. Me, Jerry, Karissa, Fizban, Pepper, and Naota. The XT was full of so many gifts, we barely had room to breathe. Most of the family in Cowiche were sick at one point or another, but all in all it was still a really good trip. We ended up having to buy a luggage carrier to bring back all the gifts we received... For Jerry's B-Day the weather was icey, so we ended up playing it safe and went to a local Mexican restaurant instead of making a trip to Portland. We took Eric and Karissa along. I made him a Chocolat Cake that he really seemed to like.

A lot has been going on lately. I have been really busy at work, and at home we are getting ready to move Jerry in. So, we have been packing and cleaning up both homes in preparation for the 'big move'! I have joined www.ancestry.com and have had a lot of fun doing some research on my family tree. I hope to have new stuff to post soon. Trying to get it all together now. Cindy sent Pepper some outfits, so you must go the the Gallery and check them out. Fizban, Naota, and Pepper seem to be all getting along fairly well. Karissa passed her final drive with a 95, and now just has some written tests to do to get her certificate.

Been working on the site for about an hour. Posted a lot to "My Family" portion of my site. I am pretty excited about getting my Baker Genealogy up and looking good. Jerry and I spent the weekend getting ready for him to move in, hopefully by the end of this month. Karissa spent the weekend (when she wasn't playing Star Wars on the XBOX) getting ready for school. She will be a Junior at Battle Ground High School this year. She also took her first of four drives at Wakes driving school.

Posted camping pictures from Walupt Lake. Here is a brief summary of the weekend. We left BG about 3:00 Thursday after stopping to get Becky a B-Day present. We arrived at camp about 5:30. It was raining like mad! We got all setup and sat around the fire with Cindy and B-Jerry until bedtime. Friday, the weather was much better. It was a little cloudy, and still cool, but NO rain! Jerry and I walked the trail and found a place to hunt crawdads and other kinds of creatures. Saturday was B-E-A-U-tiful! It was so nice we were able to swim in the Glacier fed lake. Saturday Becky and her family made it up and we had fun camping with the kids. Sunday was another very nice day, but it was also time to leave. The kids were able to get some fishing in, then we headed down the mountain. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that a bunch of *A-holes* moved in next door to camp on Friday Night, by Saturday Morning they were evicted by the camp hosts. What an adventure!

Posted a couple of pictures, check the Pets and Phone Pic Galleries. We picked a camping spot, Walupt Campground. Neither family has been there, so it should be quite fun. We are all tenting it, hoping to get a spot by the Lake.

Well, as you can see it has been a long time since I have updated this web site. So, I guess I should catch you up. In June, Karissa and I moved into the big city of Battle Ground (hee hee). We have a three bedroom house with a den and living room, good sized kitchen, and a nice fenced backyard. There is a fireplace in the livingroom, and in her bedroom... It is going to be a nice place to stay while we try to get our new home built.
Living in the city isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Actually, it is rather fun! We have some crazy neighbors, and don't have to walk far to get a mocha!
We also have a new member of our family, Naota, a kitty Karissa adopted from the Oregon Humane Society. Those of you who know me, know I have never been a cat person... but I guess he is kinda cute... I'll try to post some pictures soon.
Recently, my great Aunt Goldie passed away. As sad as that was, it did give me an opportunity to see my cousin Randy again. We were very close as kids, but grew apart as we both got older. We are planning on getting together in the near future, I am pretty excited about that!
And, I have some research to do. Jerry and I are trying to plan a camping trip for the whole family! I am exciting as we haven't had a chance to go yet this year. We have taken two trips to the beach, but no camping yet...
So, look for some new pics, and I'll try to keep this better updated from now on!!

Today I was able to work on My Hikes pages and added some new pics. Jerry is helping me with the design, making it all legit and stuff...

It's been a couple of weeks since my last posting. Last weekend we all went to Fry's and bought all the parts we needed to build Karissa's new PC (16th B-Day present). She and Jerry put it together, added PC mods, and it looks and runs really great. Sunday Jerry and I spent the day at the Zoo. We had lots of fun, and the weather was perfect. This weekend we took Pepper for a walk at the park, and today we did another hike to Wahkeena Falls. Hopefully I will have time soon to post lots of pics, but for now, I'm off to bed.

Well, yesterday was mine and Karissa's BDay. We got to spend the morning laying around and being lazy (she played her new GC Game, Harvest Moon while Jerry and I watched), then we went to the Mall (to see my gift from J, go to the Gallery under Phone Pics), and had dinner at Roadhouse Grill. It was a very good day, and a very good weekend all around.

Today I put some new pics up that I snapped from our Beach Video. I hope they show how much fun we had goofing off. It was a lot of fun, and I hope to get to go back soon.

Spring Break was really fun. Karissa and her friend Opie and I went to Longbeach with Jerry and his family. We stayed at the "Lighthouse" cabin 9. We did everything from walking on the beach, kyte-flying, Skimboarding, horseback riding, go-kart racing, frog butt poking. Well, you name it, we did it. Great weather for the beach as well. Cindy and Becky surprized us with a Birthday Party with balloons, cake, and presents. We also received very nice Easter Baskets with a wide variety of stuff in them. Unfortunately, some of us caught nasty colds on Sunday. But, at least it was our last day of vacation, and not our first! Check out the picture gallery to see some of our good times.

It has been awhile since I updated this site. So, I thought I would at least catch you up a bit. Karissa and I have been busy packing up our home. We are really excited about getting to build a new house on the property I inherited from my mother a few years ago. As soon as we pick out the floor plan, I'll post it for you all to see. I also had my old yucky tattoo redone. I am very pleased with how it turned out. And I had the two people who mean the most in the world to me with me when I had it done. That meant so much to me... you can see the pics in my gallery.
February 10th, 2004
Well, I've added some more pictures... so I think the next time I'm here I'll start to put some pages together. Still not sure how I want it all to look, but it seems to be coming together nicely.

Working on my site. Jerry has setup a really cool picture gallery. I am working on creating some new sections and trying to figure out exactly what this site is going to be about.

Jerry helped me get my site started. We have a few paragraphs and a few links.
