Adam and Sarah were divorced in 1896, only to
re-marry in 1899.
Adam liked to visit a poor, lonely grass-widow
(divorcee) named Phoebe. One night he
saddles his horse and went visiting.
Not long after, Sarah walked the distance (1/4 mi.) and looked in the
window, saw the two of them inside talking and went to the tethered horse,
untied him, got into the saddle and rode home.
